Safety is a Priority for Au Pairs in Knoxville, TN
As a parent of a two year old and a 7 month old boys, safety is of up most importance to me. I am constantly aware of my surroundings and what might be unsafe for my two very curious little guys. AuPairCare understands that Child safety is a major concern for American parents, especially when they are considering child care providers. That is why Au Pair's with AuPairCare all across the country have been attending various types of safety training during the month of March.
Here in Knoxville, TN Au Pairs from countries such as Brazil and China attended a fire safety training Sunday afternoon. The training was lead by Captain Paul Trumpore who instructed the Au Pairs on what it means to have "An Attitude of Safety". The Au Pairs were also given a Fire Extinguisher Training in which they were able to pratice using a fire extinguisher properly.
Au Pair Care, an au pair agency that matches American families with international au pairs, recently announced its new SafetyCare Training Program. This program provides all Au Pair Care au pairs with CPR and First Aid certification training by the American Heart Association – a major differentiator in the au pair space. It also provides au pairs with enhanced safety training skills in the categories of driving, household and ongoing child care safety.

As a parent, I am thrilled to see that AuPairCare is taking the issue of child safety so seriously. I am confidant that parents who are considering their childcare options would be drawn to a company who has made child safety a top priority when training their Au Pairs.
I believe that the fire safety training held here in Knoxville on Sunday will benefit the Au Pairs, their Host Families, and most importantly the children that they care for.

This year's International Host Family and Au Pair Day will be taking place in Knoxville, TN this month. The event is wonderful opportunity for Families and their Au Pairs to come together and celebrate being apart of AuPairCare. This event is a family-friendly cultural event that is open to anyone that might be interested in learning more about AuPairCare.
Here in Knoxville, there are currently 10 international au pairs living with host families, caring for their children and teaching each other about their respective cultures. These au pairs come from countries such as China, Mexico, El Salvador, and Brazil, and will all be engaging with children at our International Host Family and Au Pair Day on Saturday, October 29th from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM. The event will take place at the New Harvest Park Picnic Pavilion. We will be enjoying tasty hot dogs from Dave's Dogs, the kids will be painting pumpkins, and everyone can participate in a game of corn hole!
I look forward to coming together with all of our Host Families and Au Pairs at this years event.

Knoxville, Au Pairs attend a Tennessee Smokies Baseball game
Last month Au Pairs here in Knoxville attended a Tennessee Smokies Minor League baseball game. Many of the Au Pairs had never attended a baseball game before and enjoyed the new experience. It was a great day for baseball as we enjoyed watching the Tennessee Smokies play the Chattanooga Lookouts. No doubt a highlight of the game was the delicious ballpark food, especially the funnel cakes!
This month we will enjoy Miniature golf and Ice Cream on Saturday, July 16th at 2 PM in West Knoxville.
